Augmented Reality App Geon Partners With XYO To Improve Proof-Of-Location Data

XYO is a geospatial crypto network has announced its partnership with Geon, which is an augmented reality-based enhanced location service. The aim of the partnership is to leverage XYO’s rich geographical data to make the Geon network more accurate and help the Geon’s AR objects to be placed anywhere in the world by its substantial user base.

The partnership aims to borrow the XYO’s ability to collect and make geospatial data and help the Geon network’s functionality and user verification of over 1.5 million AR objects around the world.

Geon has placed these AR objects around the world on the real maps and the users of the network can interact with these AR objects to earn Geon coins in return. The longer the user interacts with the AR objects the better their chances to earn Geon coins. The users can exchange the earned Geon coins for various rewards.

The working model of the Geon network allows it to attract potential customers to a specific physical location like a store. Thus, the location data plays a very vital role in enhancing the experience on the Geon network. The recent partnership would help the network to refine and be more accurate with its geographical location data.

Robert Radek, the CEO if Geon network says,

“We are excited to join forces with XYO team, with whom we share a similar data-centric vision for the future. Our ground-breaking app is a unique combination of AR, physical location and cryptocurrency, on a blockchain powered platform. Working with XYO and its set of geospatial data opens the door to more value-added possibilities in charity, retail, gaming, and other businesses, with clear benefits to consumers and businesses.”

In the beginning phase of the partnership, the Geon network would integrate the technology into its existing augmented Geon network, which would help the network in refining the geolocation data. As the partnership progresses, XYO might become integrated into the Geon network to work along and inside the network.

Arie Trou, the CEO of XYO says,

“This partnership with Geon is essentially tailor-made for XYO. The technology plays into our strength in making rich geospatial data available, beginning with proof of location which is critical to the augmented reality ecosystem which the Geon is working with globally. We hope to help enhance the experience with Geon, in order to win real-world rewards. We look forward to seeing what we can do for the Geon network and hearty welcome them to the XYO family.”
