Vestiaire Collective and JOYCE partner up with pop-up store opening – Marketing Interactive

Vestiaire Collective, the global marketplace for authenticated pre-owned luxury and premium fashion, has formed a brand partnership with JOYCE, a multi-brand fashion retailer in Hong Kong, to launch a  10-day pop-up store at JOYCE’s flagship boutique in Hong Kong.

According to a press statement, this is the first partnership of its kind in Asia. With the shared commitment to driving a sustainable approach to fashion, the partnership allows customers to sell their pre-owned luxury fashion within a physical retail environment, and ultimately extending the life cycle of their products.

Fanny Moizant, co-founder and vice president of Asia Pacific at Vestiaire Collective, said, “Sustainability has always been at the very core of our business. We are thrilled to partner with JOYCE to further reinforce this message, giving our Hong Kong customers another physical opportunity to be a part of the global fashion resale and circular economy.”

The collaboration will be kicked off with the launch of a ten-day Vestiaire Collective pop-up store in JOYCE’s flagship boutique located at New World Tower from 17 to 27 January. The pop-up is a full integration of Vestiaire’s VIP consignment service, conveying the digital world of Vestiaire Collective in a physical space, where customers can drop off their pre-loved luxury pieces from previous seasons for resale at JOYCE. Moreover, visitors will have the opportunity to meet with experts from the Vestiaire Collective authentication team who will be on hand to offer valuations and advice on selling.

It also echos Chinese New Year’s spirit of “Out with the Old, in with the New”, encouraging people to declutter their wardrobes. In support of a circular economy, customers will receive 5% credit rebate for their first drop-off to shop the new season at any of JOYCE’S multi-brand concept and distributed stores.

“JOYCE is committed to offering best-in-class to our customers. The circular economy is a compelling proposition to reduce our impact on the environment and to showcase the last of qualitative product,” said Agnes Lai, vice president of JOYCE.

“We appreciate Vestiaire Collective’s extraordinary efforts in showcasing a luxury pre-owned platform that respects not only the environment but also fashion. We hope this partnership will create more awareness around the importance of sustainability in fashion,” Lai added.
