Strictly Rockers – Levi’s Vintage Clothing 🎸

Since 1853, Levi Strauss & Co. has been outfitting
the world in blue jeans. Their label Levi’s Vintage Clothing
relives history and offers timeless products. The fall collection
is an ode to the reinterpretation of American culture by Jamaican
musicians in the later half of the 1900s. 

As early as the 1950s, Jamaicans traveled to the United States
in search of R&B records to bring back and play at their now-legendary
sound system parties in Kingston. During these trips, they would also
seek out and bring back the latest fashions.

This continued through the 1960s, as musicians discovered
American R&B and soul music and reinterpreted it into the sounds
of ska, rocksteady and eventually reggae in the 1970s.
