St. Thomas University Visits New York City for NRF 2025 with WindowsWear!

St. Thomas University took its Fashion Merchandising program to new heights with an exclusive retail merchandising tour in New York City during the National Retail Federation (NRF) event. Under the leadership of Ashlee Rzyczycki, Program Director of Fashion Merchandising, students gained hands-on experience exploring the heart of the fashion and retail industries.

The event, hosted by WindowsWear, provided students with a deep dive into the world of retail, fashion, and design, featuring industry experts and iconic NYC landmarks.

Jon Harari, CEO and Co-Founder of WindowsWear, explored the evolution of New York City as a global fashion hub and its significance in shaping retail and design. Raul Tovar, Creative Director of Raul Tovar Photography & WindowsWear, shared insights into fashion photography, the influence of social media, and the art of brand storytelling.

Diana Mahrach, CEO of Diana Mahrach Couture, took participants through the intricacies of textiles, fashion design, retail operations, and wholesale strategies.

Connor Matz, Director of Visual at Saks Fifth Avenue, shared his expertise in visual merchandising and store design.

The session also featured a guided walking tour through NYC landmarks including the Garment District, Bryant Park, and Rockefeller Center.

With the National Retail Federation’s 2025 Big Show as the backdrop, the event was more than just a tour—it served as a springboard for future opportunities in the fashion and retail industries. Participants were provided with new perspectives, industry insights, and a deeper appreciation for the creativity and innovation that define NYC’s fashion landscape.
