SAN JOSE, Calif., April 16, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — WomenCorporateDirectors (WCD) has sold out its signature Global Institute five weeks before the event opens on May 19 in Silicon Valley.
Top women corporate directors, lead directors, board chairs, and CEOs from around the world will attend this annual summit. “We are taking a deep dive into critical issues directors are focused on,” says WCD CEO Susan C. Keating. “Questions such as ‘Is our corporate culture healthy or broken?’; ‘How do we become the disruptors in our industry?’; and ‘How do we disrupt across other industries?‘ will dominate the agenda. These topics are driving many of the strategic decisions directors are making right now about the very future of their companies.”
Coming to a region known as much for its male-dominated tech culture as it is for its innovation, this is the first time the WCD Global Institute will be held on the West Coast, after nine years in New York. The Institute runs May 19-22 at Hewlett Packard Enterprise‘s new corporate headquarters in San Jose.
WCD is the largest organization of women board members globally, with 2,400 members in 80 chapters across the world who meet regularly to share best practices and discuss the issues dominating board conversations today.
“The early sell-out of the Global Institute in the heart of Silicon Valley shows the strong demand from both directors who are newer to the digital space as well as those who have been at the forefront of new technology for decades,” says Keating.
