Paul Smith has chosen Bluebell Group as partner of choice for Macau market. To celebrate the new market partnership, the brand has opened a new store at Galaxy Macau.
The store showcases the latest Paul Smith and PS Paul Smith clothes, shoes and accessories for men and women.
Demonstrating Paul Smith’s appreciation for colour, the new shop features a burnt orange colour-blocked façade that references Paul’s appreciation for the work of Mexican architect Luis Barragán. Art is a constant element in brand communications and we have seen it pervading collections, store design, advertising campaigns throughout the years.
Inside, the 82 square meter shop is a welcoming single space, with men’s items merchandised on the left-hand-side and women’s on the right-hand-side. The floor is a natural limestone, contrasted by more traditional reclaimed parquet flooring in the fitting room and cash desk areas.
Overall, the interior design palette mirrors the tone established by Paul Smith mainline shops around the world. Recognisable features include a burr timber table, polished concrete elements and an art wall, which features a collection of unique artworks, photographs and posters.
Furniture within the shop has been sourced from around the world and reupholstered in unique fabrics. For example, a 1960s stool has been given new life with the addition of bright blue, textured fabric by Bute Fabrics of Scotland. Similarly, a set of contemporary modular chairs have been recovered in Paul Smith for Maharam assembled check fabric. Another standout piece of furniture is a 1950s Italian beach wood coffee table with a red mosaic top.
As with every Paul Smith shop, the space is finished with unique objects and artworks sourced from Paul’s travels around the world.
Bluebell Group is also partner of Paul Smith for the Taiwanese market, with 2 stores in Taipei, 1 in Taichung, and 1 in Kaoshiung.
