Online Shopping Services in the Philippines

Despite the easing quarantine measures in certain places in the country, some people may still take the step to keep their exposure to the COVID-19 virus to a minimum until a vaccine is officially available for the public. For this reason, many online shopping services have popped up and existing ones may have gone into a renovation phase to improve their services. Regardless, one advantage we have now in our time that people didn’t have during past pandemics is the availability of the internet, smartphones, and the concept and application of online shopping itself.

In order to stay safe in these uncertain times, we’ve listed several online shopping services, specifically for grocery shopping, here. This does not necessarily rank them worst to best. It’s just a list.

  1. PhilGrocer

People living in Manila can take advantage of PhilGrocer’s services. While they operate nationwide, online grocery service is only available in Metro Manila, Laguna, Cavite, and Rizal. The methods of payment accepted are 7-11, Gcash, Paypal, Cebuana, etc. You can find more information about their services at PhilGrocer official site.

  1. Real Food

If you are looking for a sure source of organic agricultural products like rice, vegetable, meat, and other ingredients for cooking or baking then this is the service for you. Now, you may not just want some generic organic product so you’ll be delighted to know that well-known brands supply them. What are examples of brands? Farmyard Pantry, Jack’s Produce, 7 Grains, Kaffea Coffee, Spectrum Gallery, and Pinkie’s Farm.If you are interested in ordering from them you can either give them a call at (02)8722-0131 or via mobile at 0917-678-0158. 1. Marketa.ph

Now if you are in need of buying items that are not limited to just groceries, Marketa.ph offers a wide variety of products like food, beverages, fashion accessories, beauty & wellness, art and design, automotive tools and parts, sports equipment, and many more. The methods of payment they accept are ecPay, Gcashj, BancNet, PayPal, Dragon Pay, 7-Eleven, Mlhuillier, and they also accept cash on delivery.

  1. Lazmart

Lazmart seems to be the official online grocery shop for Lazada, an online platform for buying and selling products similar to eBay and Amazon. They provide primarily essentials. The examples listed are cleaning supplies, canned goods, and dry goods. Shoppers can also buy other non-essential items. The methods of payment are credit and debit card, Gcash, Lazada Wallet, or buyers can also pay cash upon delivery.

Groceries aren’t the only essentials, medicines are also at an all-time high demand especially for vitamin supplements. Since unnecessary travel is discouraged but not banned, some people might still feel safer to stay at home, especially if they’re already ill. But what if they run out of medication? Well, here’s a list of pharmacies that do door to door deliveries.

  1. Watsons

Watsons is a common sight in malls so they’re hard to miss. They do not only sell medicines but they also sell a variety of beauty and body care products like soaps and shampoos.

Shoppers who want to order from them can call (02) 7791-5000 or do it at Watson official site. Alternatively, they have an app available for download through the PlayStore for Android users or the App Store for iPhone users. However, they only accept orders between 10 AM to 6 PM and orders are delivered between 12 PM to 8 PM. Depending on traffic conditions and distance it can take anywhere from 2-7 working days within the National Capital Region (NCR) or 3-9 working days for those outside the NCR so shoppers will have to do their best to time their shopping. For methods of payment, Watsons accepts Cash On Delivery, Credit Card, BDO Credit or e-coupon, and e-voucher.

  1. Rose Pharmacy

The items they sell are similar to Watsons. It also includes medicines and hygiene products, the difference only in the presented brands. Someone likes to buy here. They can be reached via call at (02) 8230-5000 or online at https://www.rosepharmacy.com.
