Virgil Abloh’s Milan-based label, Off-White, has officially found its first West Coast flagship location. The DJ and designer shared plans of the opening in June 2019 when he announced his DJ residency at Wynn, a luxury resort located on Las Vegas Blvd. The Off-White store titled, “Beginner’s Luck” is now open at The Wynn Plaza Shops. The ultra high end mall offers a luxury shopping experience, putting the world’s greatest designers within reach. Accompanying Abloh’s own label, his work as the Artistic Director of
Louis Vuitton’s menswear is on display on the boulevard. The renowned fashion house brought Wynn one of the first stores in the U.S. dedicated exclusively to menswear and men’s accessory. Abloh’s relationship with Wynn combines music, fashion, and art. In November 2018, Wynn Plaza became home to the multimedia sculpture, “Arrows and Flower Neon Sign”- a collaboration with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami. “Pushing the boundaries of where art, fashion and music collide has been a driving force behind our success, where every experience we present to guests first passes a litmus test for originality,” Wynn nightlife managing partner Alex Cordova told WWD. “We are honored to be working with such a visionary who appreciates the impact of artistry, and applies it to everything he does.” Haim Chera, venture partner with Wynn in its Las Vegas retail praises the opportunity they have had to work with Abloh in a multifaceted relationship telling WWD, “Off-White is an iconic brand that embodies the modernity Wynn guests look for”.
