Nike Rise is the sportswear giant’s latest rollout, a personalized shopping experience that has officially debuted in Guangzhou, China.
Aimed at engaging with sports and its city’s communities, the Nike Rise concept launch in Guangzhou is supported by new Nike App features alongside a 15,000 sqft store that has been designed as a digitally advanced sports hub whereby members can join weekly sport-minded activations, in-store workshops and events organised by local Nike athletes or sports influencers. Members will also have the chance to attend weekly football and basketball matches with Nike trainers at Tianhe Sport Center.
“Whether Members are connecting through the Nike App or joining in-store, they’re invited to experience a digitally-enabled journey at this Nike Rise door that links them to the energy and activity of the city, and unites communities across Guangzhou through the power of sport,” explains Cathy Sparks, General Manager of Global Nike Direct Stores & Service.
Additionally, customers can personalize the products they purchase at the in-store “Nike By You” personalization bar, as well as have their feet scanned using “Nike Fit” technology to find the best fitting. Nike’s new retail concept is looking to encourage members to visit its stores more frequently, so as to increase direct-to-consumer business and boost sales.
The Nike Rise concept store in Guangzhou officially opened to public on July 9, 2020, and has plans to expand globally in 2021. For more information, visit Nike News.
