Longchamp celebrated the launch of its Summer 2025 collection on the eve of NYFW, inclusive of new silhouettes and colorways for its iconic Le Roseau handbag with a Garden-Inspired Dinner at The Foundry in Long Island City on Wednesday, February 5. Guests were treated to an exclusive menu inspired by the collection itself, which was created by James Beard Award winning chef and EMMY Nominated TV host, Sophia Roe. Actress and producer Zoey Deutch joined in on the festivities as Longchamp’s special guest for the evening. Guests explored the new collection and enjoyed elevated elements like live musical performances, an exclusive culinary experience, and more.
In leather or printed cotton canvas, Le Roseau is as elegant as ever. From beetroot red to artichoke green – the keynote of the collection – vegetables set the tone with colors full of flavor. The inspiration for this season came from the mind of Longchamp’s Creative Director Sophie Delafontaine, who wanted to capture the shared joy of coming together over a beautiful meal. With this, the event transported guests into an idyllic summer garden, taking inspiration from the collection, as well as Creative Director Sophie Delafontaine’s home in the South of France where she invites friends and family around the table to dine on the garden’s bounty.
Sharing Longchamp’s joy of bringing people together for a shared meal, Sophia Roe’s curated menu for the event was a direct callback to this, while simultaneously celebrating the collection and the artistry behind it. Stepping into the garden, a snap pea gimlet served as the signature cocktail. With roasted baby artichokes to herb-press flatbreads and cacio e pepe grissini to start, guests were immediately introduced to a table bursting with flavor. The highlight of the menu came in the entree: a portobello mushroom milanese with italian radicchio and chicory salad with a poppy seed miso vinaigrette and lemon beurre blanc. The meal finished with light and fresh dessert options, featuring spring pavlova with mint and basil-infused chantilly and charred grapefruit and cara cara orange for dessert.
