Lidl Italia has opened a new store in Bari, in the Puglia region.
The new outlet, located in Via San Giorgio Martire, has hired 17 new employees and is the first Lidl outlet close to Bari city centre.
The Bari store features a strong green component, in line with Lidl’s commitment to sustainability. It boasts a photovoltaic system of 42 kW, a recovery system for rainwater and four charging stations for electric vehicles.
Lighting is powered by high-efficiency LED, which saves over 50% in terms of power consumption.
The store offers more than 2,000 SKUs, 80% of which are Made in Italy, the retailer said.
Lidl Italia now operates 28 stores across Puglia.
