Virgil Abloh and Evian‘s collaborative New York pop-up launched on May 9. Located nearby the trendy SoHo district, the intimate pop-up space offered fans the opportunity to win one of the limited bottles designed by Abloh.
Executed in understated white tones, the event space was drenched in color from projected imagery showcasing co-branded logos and the collection’s name, “One Drop Can Make A Rainbow.” A limited number of collaborative Soma reusable bottles were on hand by the DJ station, with the centerpiece of the event offered by the hundreds: Abloh’s customized glass Evian bottles.
While the Soma bottles were limited to only 40 pieces, plenty of special glass water bottles were on hand. Each boasted gradient-hued dots across the surface, complete with “Rainbow Inside” branding. Of all the bottles being raffled off, the most desirable items were the 10 bottles personally signed by Abloh himself — guaranteed collector’s items. Even attendees who missed out on the limited Soma bottles didn’t leave empty handed, as Evian fountains allowed all to fill up on cool water.
