Kim Kardashian West’s shapewear line has arrived in the UK and is exclusively available in Selfridges with prices ranging from £8 to £150.
Kim Kardashian West has finally launched Skims in the UK and has given a peek inside the launch, which even has a themed cafe.
The reality star mogul took to Instagram to celebrate the shapewear brand arriving exclusively at Selfridges, with coffee named after her collection and sweet treats adorned with women in lingerie.
Kim has been hard at work on Skims despite facing rumours that her marriage to Kanye West is in difficulty, however she’s put on a brave face in recent days to focus on promoting her multiple businesses.
Taking over the Selfridges Instagram page, Kim, 39, shared how excited she was that the international launch of Skims had arrived, and apologised for not being able to attend the launch in person, as she answered some questions from fans.
Looking extremely glamorous, the mum of four posed in front of the camera with her hair in a half up half down style and two tendrils of hair framing her face.
With a perfectly lined pout, Kim explained how she came up with the idea of Skims: “It was to fill a gap in the market that didn’t really exists, I was always cutting it up and making my own pieces and they didn’t have my skin tone and I’m not that dark…
“So when it came to events and things I would always have to dye my shapewear to get the colour richer… I thought why didn’t this exist that didn’t have different skin tones? I wanted women to feel comfortable,” she said.
Kim then took her millions of followers on a tour of the Skims section in the London Selfridges, which as its own cafe as part of an instore experience.
Every wall is plastered with images of models and Kim herself wearing the Skims collection, which ranges in prices from £8 to £150, in an array of different colours, as well as matching takeaway paper coffee cups with the same designs.
As well as biscuits iced with the Skims logo, there’s also napkins and pastries shoppers can pick up as well while browsing.
Kim also shared a look at the coffee menu which follows the theme of her brand names for the skin tones, including “Sand Latte”, “Clay Cappuccino”, “Sienna Americano” and “Coco Espresso”, all available with different types of milk.
The KKW make-up owner also shared a closer look at the collections on offer in story all modelled on mannequins and hanging on multiple rails.
It seems even with the end of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim has got plenty of business opportunities to keep her on her toes, including adding loungwear to her range of Skims.
