Hermès Launches Podcast Spotlighting Behind-the-Scenes Workers

The French fashion house is bringing fans a way to connect with the label outside of clothes, introducing a new podcast called The Faubourg of Dreams. The Faubourg of Dreams is named after the original Hermès store’s Paris street address, 24 rue de Faubourg Saint-Honore. The podcast compromises eight episodes and each one is 12 minutes long and features an interview with someone who works at the Paris store, which opened at the exact same street corner in 1880.

“The Faubourg store is the epicentre of the Hermès dream; an effervescent place filled with stories originating from conversations that start on each floor. This Paris vessel shares its daily routine, from work on its window displays to the hanging garden, and from the silk counters to its leather workshop.” Each character is heard on-site describing their day-to-day schedule, their work, their chosen paths, and the qualities they consider make Hermès the unique, particular house it is today, the brand said in a statement.

Antoine Platteau, The Man Behind the Windows

Four times a year, the chief decorator of the Faubourg store invents scenes to amuse adults and children passing by. He lifts the veil on the design of his windows.
