Danone Caps Font Vella Water With App-Integrated, Reusable Hydration Tracker – PSFK

In an effort to promote sustainability with mainstream CPG products, French food products corporation Danone will be equipping the bottles of its Spanish mineral water Font Vella with reusable caps. What’s more, these digitally enabled bottle tops will also help consumers keep track of their hydration levels and set goals using an accompanying app.

Coach20, as the hydration tracker is being called, is brought to Font Vella drinks by Water.io, the company that created the smart cap tech that allows any water bottle to be upgraded to a smart bottle. The smart caps are clipped on to existing caps and not only record the amount of water consumers drink in a day, but also remind them to stay hydrated with a blinking light.

The app will also allow drinkers to set daily goals for hydration based on their unique preferences and health requirements. Ultimately, Danone aims to cater to the environmental concerns and wellness goals of today’s consumers to generate interest and drive sales.
