Coach is introducing “Snow City” not only as a new digital experience but in real life at Rockefeller center! This year Coach is celebrating the holidays in a big way. To celebrate the new Rockefeller partnership and opening of the new winter experience, Coach hosted a cocktail party at the ice rink and WindowsWear had the chance to take the first look.
In honor of their ski-themed holiday campaign and the new digital game “Snow City”, the brand has après-skate chalets as well as a Coach holiday truck taking over the plaza. The chalets, which celebrate skiing, overlook the Center’s famous ice rink and Christmas tree and offer a cozy dining experience with hot drinks and treats. The holiday truck will be selling Coach’s holiday and ski collections all month long.
In addition to enjoying the chalets, which will be open through December 31, guests were also treated to private skate time with Stuart Vevers, following a performance by NYU Skate Team and live music by the Hudson Horns.
Along with the festive activations, Coach is introducing Snow City, a digital game inspired by its holiday theme Give a Little Love, where players select a Coach holiday animal. To play, players select a Coach Holiday animal and race through snowy New York City collecting as much “love” as they can.
At the end of each run, players can share the love collected with friends while the points earned remain with the player, allowing them to unlock more Coach Holiday animal avatars.
Inspired by the spirit of play and wonder the house brings to its legacy, the Coach Holiday animals include Coach’s beloved mascot Rexy, Fuzz the polar bear, Belle the penguin, Holly the deer, Ginger the fox, Paddles the goose, Luna the owl, Spike the hedgehog and Robin the bird.
Tracked on a digital scoreboard, the “love” collected becomes part of a Global Love Score, allowing players to collaborate and share in a global experience—as part of Coach’s message of love and affection as the greatest gift of all this holiday season. Players with the highest scores are eligible to win Coach products.
Visitors can experience après-skate chalets as well as a Coach holiday truck at Rockefeller center now through December 31st.
