Balmain has opened the doors to its new Paris flagship store. The store extends the brand’s new theme introduced by its recent Milan flagship.
The new store which is located on the prestigious rue Saint-Honoré street is spread over two floors and is now Balmain’s biggest location at 6,845 square feet.
The freshly-restored flagship features the classic details from when Pierre Balmain first set up shop 65 years ago: From elaborate Parisian ceiling moldings and Versailles parquet flooring to gold-leaf trimmed doors, everything echoes the boutique’s original 18th-century grandeur. The new store was designed by the brand’s creative director Olivier Rousteing and STUDIO AMV .
The new Balmain house takes visitors on an intimate journey through the brand’s key looks and styles with a series of connected rooms, each inspired by the design and function of a Parisian living space. The store highlights Balmain’s signature colour palette of chic black and rich gold across the store, including gold mannequin window displays and door frames.
The store’s new look will act as a template for all forthcoming Balmain boutiques and shop-in-shops. In addition to the Paris store, Balmain will introduce a new flagship in Shanghai sometime this year and relocate its New York store from Madison Avenue to Wooster Street, doubling its size.
