Back Stage at Newel Props with Jess Adams

As Newel Props’ Director of Operations, it’s my job to improve your experience with our business–whether it’s consulting with Casey on website improvements, helping Christine, Rich, and Kelsey to streamline our rental operations and inventory organization, or climbing the shelves with Marietta to ensure each piece is photographed in its best light and cataloged just right. Since starting here in 2017, I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing just about every facet of our business at Newel Props, and I’m learning more about our industry every day! 

What draws me to props in particular is their capacity to support and contain stories. When it comes to storytelling, a good prop is worth its weight in gold. As such, I find myself drawn to objects that are unique in their weirdness or their one-of-a-kind nature. I had a ton of fun putting these aspects of our collection into action with our Halloween photo booth set this year! One of my favorite things about working here is exploring our incredible collection of pieces and imagining what they have to say. Every piece has a story to tell. I hope they’ll help you tell your story, too.
