Dior likes to make an entrance. So instead of opening its newest boutique at Hudson Yards at the same time as everyone else in March, the French luxury brand chose to make its splash in September.
On Tuesday, the company quietly opened the doors to the boutique with a design concept new to the U.S. market and borrowed from the Champs-Élysées store. It sports an open floor plan that combines men’s and women’s apparel and accessories for the first time in one space, and employs a cross-merchandising approach that brings bags and accessories together in one display.
