Gucci and Snapchat Offer Taste of MET Gala

Snapchatters don’t have to be in New York to ride the buzz of the Met Gala, thanks to a new collaboration between Gucci and Snapchat. On Monday, the companies unveiled a new augmented reality Snapchat Lens and event coverage in the app’s Our Story section.

Invitations to the event may be hard to come by, but thanks to social media, the experience is a little less so. The AR Lens showcases the artwork seen in the elusive invites, allowing users worldwide to merely scan the Snapcode (below) to see themselves set against the themed backdrop. Alternatively, mobile users can hit up this link to access the Lens, which will be available from May 6 to 8.
