Treasury Wine Estates celebrates women with new wine range – Talking Retail

The range includes two 750ml bottles – Red Blend (13.5% ABV) and Chardonnay (13% ABV) – both retailing at £9.99.

The company said the wines were created to “celebrate pioneering women throughout history” and the bottles feature images of Nellie Bly, an investigative journalist and Amy Johnson, a British aviator.

Each character comes to life via TWE’s Living Wine Labels app; smartphone users can scan each character through the app to learn about the characters history.

The company said this “augmented reality” system has helped TWE’s existing 19 Crimes brand become “one of the most exciting and disruptive brands in the UK wine trade”, with current growth standing at more than 200%.

Kirstie McCosh, marketing director – Europe at TWE, said: “One of TWE’s core strategic aims is to drive recruitment of 18-35-year-old drinkers – bringing them into the wine category.

“We know through the success of 19 Crimes that the way to do this is through authentic, brand story-telling experiences, and we are confident that Embrazen delivers on all these cues.”
