Gucci is expanding its retail reach in the U.S.
The Italian luxury brand has opened a dedicated men’s boutique in Miami’s Design District. This is its fourth men’s-only store in the U.S. and the second store in the immediate vicinity with an existing store located just around the corner.
The new two-level, 4,200-square-foot unit carries an expanded assortment of men’s products including shoes, ready-to-wear, luggage, small leather goods, and eyewear. The boutique also includes a private VIP shopping area. All the menswear product will now be carried in the new store while the existing store will focus on womenswear and some unisex product.
Upon opening, shoppers will find the company’s travel collection, Gucci Valigeria, as well as the cruise collection.
The store features a green and white facade that showcases the Gucci logo. Inside, the design references details from the collections, such as a dual-colored marble floor that complements the facade through its palette and geometric shapes.
Lighter-toned fabrics are used for the walls including an ivory boiserie that acts as a backdrop for the items on display, many of which are merchandised in built-in displays reminiscent of walk-in closets. There are also racks with an Art Deco mesh metal pattern, Gucci Décor velvet armchairs and leather sofas and shaggy moss-green wool monochrome rugs placed throughout the space to create intimate corners.
The store supports Gucci’s commitment to employing eco-friendly initiatives and energy-efficient technologies in its stores and was built using LEED guidelines and principles.
“Gucci first opened in Miami Design District in 2017, building incredible connections with the vibrant community in Florida over the last five years,” said Federico Turconi, president and chief executive officer of Gucci Americas. “We are delighted to expand our offering in the market with a men’s boutique in the Design District, which is one of only four dedicated men’s locations in the country. This two-story boutique features a comprehensive range of men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, accessories and luggage from Gucci Valigeria — all housed in a beautiful destination for our clients. Right around the corner from our existing boutique, it allows our Miami clientele to experience the best of Gucci’s Italian heritage and fashion in two locations.”
This brings the number of Gucci stores to 109 in the U.S. and 534 globally.
