A permit filed with the City of Atlanta details a $500,000 price tag for the interior fit-out of the planned 1,730-square-foot boutique located on Mall Level 1 between Omega and Tory Burch stores and across from Tiffany and Co.
Construction commenced this week under the direction of What Now Atlanta Partner Morrison Shearer, Inc.
Founded in 1996 by Shun Yen Siu, Deirdre Quinn, and Ida Siu, Lafayette 148 was imagined as a company and vertically-integrated fashion brand that combined a design studio and production facility all under one roof and “a place with a globally-minded culture that married its Eastern and Western roots,” according to its website.
In-store, shoppers can expect an array of amenities and services including private fittings, complimentary tailoring and alterations, and one-on-one personal styling.
Lafayette 148 will join recently-announced clothiers Enzo, Tom Ford, Max Stanco, and Dolce & Gabbana as part of Phipps Plaza’s ongoing multi-phase redevelopment.
Other key builds include a Nobu Hotel/Restaurant and a 90,000 square-foot Life Time Athletic facility, Pinstripes bowling bistro, and a 13-story 350,000 sq. foot Class A office building, One Phipps Plaza.
